A view of the very calm pacific ocean is seen at the Stone Shelter on top of Cape Perpetua. Just a short walk from the parking area on top of Cape Perpetua just south of Yachats on the Oregon coast is this beautiful little stone shelter built by the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) in 1933. Shot early fall in 2015 on a rare windless day on the Oregon Coast.

A little about me: I was born and raised in California and Oregon so being outdoors was always an important part of my life. My family and I used to camp all up and down the California and Oregon Coast as soon as I was old enough to camp at the age of 4. The beauty of nature was a form of inspiration and healing to me and still is to this day. On our camping trips I made it a point to talk with the rangers at the visitor's centers and to learn about the native wildlife and plant life and even insect life of an area. Whenever I saw a new bird it was an exciting quest to find the name of the bird in our bird guide.
