The Abraham Strickler house, the oldest house in Page County, Virginia is circa 1732 and the location where it sits has seen battles of the French Indian War, the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. Today it is just another peaceful place in the rolling hills of the Virginia countryside.

A little about me: I was born and raised in California and Oregon so being outdoors was always an important part of my life. My family and I used to camp all up and down the California and Oregon Coast as soon as I was old enough to camp at the age of 4. The beauty of nature was a form of inspiration and healing to me and still is to this day. On our camping trips I made it a point to talk with the rangers at the visitor's centers and to learn about the native wildlife and plant life and even insect life of an area. Whenever I saw a new bird it was an exciting quest to find the name of the bird in our bird guide.
