The Heceta Head lighthouse sits atop the headlands at Devil's elbo on the Central Oregon Coast warning ships of the danger of the rocks between the land and the sea. This photo has been digitally painted and textured to resemble a drawing or painting. The view of the Pacific Ocean below is often seen in photos and paintings of this iconic lighthouse but I wanted to showcase the archetectual beauty of the ligthouse itself in this image. A little about me: I was born and raised in California and Oregon so being outdoors was always an important part of my life. My family and I used to camp all up and down the California and Oregon Coast as soon as I was old enough to camp at the age of 4. The beauty of nature was a form of inspiration and healing to me and still is to this day. On our camping trips I made it a point to talk with the rangers at the visitor's centers and to learn about the native wildlife and plant life and even insect life of an area. Whenever I saw a new bird it was an exciting quest to find the name of the bird in our bird guide.
