Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

After speding hours in the Shenandoah National Park looking for wildlife with no luck, my husband and I decided to have lunch in a nearby town. After we finished lunch we headed for the car and as I was getting in, I noticed a young man photographing what appeared to be tree branches while shooting towards the sun. Odd , I thought, maybe it's a creative thing. Then a woman came over with her cell phone and did the same...Ok the light bulb finally clicked on and there it was! A beautiful Red shouldered hawk at close range! I ran for my camera and got these shots. It's funny how nature photography moments seem to present themself when you aren't expecting them and are no where to be found when you are!
A little about me: I was born and raised in California and Oregon so being outdoors was always an important part of my life. My family and I used to camp all up and down the California and Oregon Coast as soon as I was old enough to camp at the age of 4. The beauty of nature was a form of inspiration and healing to me and still is to this day. On our camping trips I made it a point to talk with the rangers at the visitor's centers and to learn about the native wildlife and plant life and even insect life of an area. Whenever I saw a new bird it was an exciting quest to find the name of the bird in our bird guide.
