Willow Grove Mill Spring Day Canvas Print

The historic Willow Grove Mill as it stands today is a rebuilt version that was rebuilt after the Civil war. The original was a victim of the Civil war burnings having been burnt as part of Gen. Philip Sheridan's 1864 Shenandoah Valley Campaign. This mill was a flour mill and at the heart of what used to be the community of Mundellsville, Virginia but now is part of Luray, Virginia.

A little about me: I was born and raised in California and Oregon so being outdoors was always an important part of my life. My family and I used to camp all up and down the California and Oregon Coast as soon as I was old enough to camp at the age of 4. The beauty of nature was a form of inspiration and healing to me and still is to this day. On our camping trips I made it a point to talk with the rangers at the visitor's centers and to learn about the native wildlife and plant life and even insect life of an area. Whenever I saw a new bird it was an exciting quest to find the name of the bird in our bird guide.
