Just above the little mini waterfall in this scene is the perfect little pool just deep enough to sit in and cool off when the summer heat becomes to much to bear. This peaceful spot is in the George Washington National Forest in the Blue Ridge Mountains near the Massanutten mountain range.

A little about me: I was born and raised in California and Oregon so being outdoors was always an important part of my life. My family and I used to camp all up and down the California and Oregon Coast as soon as I was old enough to camp at the age of 4. The beauty of nature was a form of inspiration and healing to me and still is to this day. On our camping trips I made it a point to talk with the rangers at the visitor's centers and to learn about the native wildlife and plant life and even insect life of an area. Whenever I saw a new bird it was an exciting quest to find the name of the bird in our bird guide.
